I will most likely use “texts about” this group, or maybe a combination of by and about, but not texts off topic. I will focus on statistics and comparsion between lefties and righties. I’m also hoping to use texts and perhaps some testimonies, and actual evidence that there’s no disadvantage to either one. I currently feel that the only move left to start with is research, and then outline that from there.

Blog Post 6
The “other” group I have chosen to use today is one that I fall into, by birth, and not by choice, not that if given I wouldn’t choose this group. I choose to write my paper over being a Lefty, a predominant left handed person. I feel as though this group may not be as big of minority as others, but I also know how many times it’s overlooked.

ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a really clever idea! My one concern, however is for how you will find texts about this group. Off the top of my head, I can't think of lots of articles or videos or other kinds of texts that represent this group. Do you have specific ones in mind?
Remember, the goal for this project is not to "research the group" or make an argument about the group itself, but rather use close textual analysis to figure out how the group is being represented OR representing themselves.
